Comments:

I have been blessed with a terrific family. First wife gave me three kids and passed. I remarried, she came in with two more; we're a brady bunch! But, thanks to Laurie everyone blended pretty well. They're all up and out of the house now for the most part so we'll probably move on ourselves next summer when my last guy is finished with college. Question always then becomes where to? Most likely, Portland Maine. I know it sounds random, but that's the story of my life.
After college in Wisconsin and a small law firm in NYC< went into a company that was in the rock and roll booking business. For a bunch of years did most of the tours in the USA, e.g. Kiss, Eagles, all kinds of acts, black, white, british etc.
Then I started my own firm, solo, with the same people as clients and kept that going in various iterations for a bunch of years.
What happened, and its a long story, I got involved with intellectual property, brand protection in particular and so for the last 25 or more years have travelled around the World representing brands and trying to stop the illegal copies. That plus major case litigation.
Merged my firm into a bigger firm which blew itself up, so we all went trooping off to a firm in ny which while I was there for ten years grew from 450 lawyers to 1800 lawyers , 33 offices, etc. etc.
I realized however I wasn't made out for Big Army so moved to present firm, more like Special Ops.
Do a lot of work in Europe, Asia, wherever. Still shlep around the World but been at it long enough that I've been able to make some real friends.
Spend a LOT of time outdoors for fun, mostly kayaking and snow skiing; lots of solo hiking etc. Not big on crowds these days but managed to strike a decent balance and cannot complain about the path that i've chosen, not one bit.

School Story:

University of Wisconsin undergrad then did law school there. I like to say I went in a nice jewish kid from long island and came out a flaming radical. it was during my years the Berkely of the Praries and I was blessed with great friends. Many of the were in a local band then went on to individual careers in music, Steve Miller, Boz Scaggs and Ben Sidren to name a few. We all lived in one funky area of town and tore the place up. Some of the best years of my life were in Madison, no question.
For me, Roslyn was the ulimate approach avoidance issue. I always thought certain girls were really cute (still do) but felt so awkward about approaching them, it was terrible.
Aside from that, I remember playing baseball and getting so bad at it, I had that problem of my fingers not doing what my mind told them to do and thus my throws were so errant it was "every one duck"
I also remember Rusty and I and a few others with these 1/2 broken down sports cars going over to Roosevelt Field and doing "gymkanas" there cause the parking lot was closed on Sundays.
Did a bit of betting on the trots along those years as well.

What was your high school nickname?

haven't a clue but wouldn't want to hear about it

What would we be surprised to know about you?

I was in the rock and roll business and now trot around the World, mostly China, solving problems; clientele is mostly big companies or celebrities; mostly I've finally stopped trying to monopolize conversations

What words of wisdom have you gained that you would iike to share, in these 50 years?

I have two tatoos on my arms, each the same, an arrow pointing forward. A friend of mine, since passed away, and I, travelled around the World together chasing bad guys. He was an ex cop and investigator for me on the brand protection stuff. We went back to back with 100% trust in each other which I can't say for too many others. With him, we had a saying: "Never back up, always forward" which is why I wear two arrows on my arms pointing forward. Its my mantra. That together with "Take Risk" about sums it up. I have sought to live every day and experience something special every day as that is what a full life is about. I wouldn't change it a bit.

What have you always wanted to do but you haven't done yet?

this one is hard. I've travelled the World, lived in 1/2 dozen countries, work in over 50 countries today and gone through a been there done that stage in life. Now, I'm more solo, liking Kayaking in the open ocean. I hike and ski that way as well. I suppose if there is something left undone its Alaska. I'd like to do it a lot.

Anything else you want us all to know?

naw. enough is enough.

What was the name, during our high school years, of the shopping center on Northern Blvd?

Miracle Mile

What was the name of the Vice Principal who everyone was afraid of?

Casanova

What kind of statue was in the middle of the driveway?

Horse, Rider

What did they take away from the school building that everyone hates?

Front steps
